From My Little Window is an 18 spread picture book consisting of photographs and illustrations of birds taken and drawn by myself. This publication is an exploration of combining different mediums, while staying true to the subject. I’ve always had the privilege of having canaries near me because there are many trees outside my window. Genocides
A genocide occurs when a large group of people are killed deliberately, usually targeting a particular religious or ethnic group. The Holocaust is what usually comes to mind when the word genocide is mentioned, made famous by many films and books. However, there are many other countries that have suffered the same fate, some in gargantuan proportions. The objective of these posters is to raise awareness and the public on the different countries that have undergone genocides, with each poster holding the national colors of the particular location for greater recollection and association.
Migration
This was a booklet was created on the notion of “moving together” for the “Next” Taiwan competition that was held in 2011 and the brief required us to create one poster and a booklet. The concept was migration, to showcase animals moving together in groups or a herd, but instead of showing just the animals, silhouettes were used instead to allow greater emphasis to be placed onto the background, featuring the changing landscapes as the pages are flipped. As this was a picture book, few words were used. The dimensions of this book are 200mm by 200mm.
Jewel Swirls
The brief required us to rebrand Khong Guan’s fancy gems biscuit. The name Jewel Swirls had some similarities to the original name to allow consumers to recognize this product more easily. For many of us, these biscuits were reminiscent of our childhood, when they were either sold in cans or plastic bags, just at the provision shop, at the void deck, and how we would much on them all day and night, or save the icing for later and have the biscuits first. Edge
Edge is a line of papers produced by Antalis, specifically catered to furniture shops, such as Xtra, Space, Knoll and Vitra. A booklet was also created to feature the different paper stocks available, along wiht a poster to promote this extension of Antalis.
Mr Muscle
The objective of this campaign was to promote Mr Muscle through a series of print advertisements, strategically placed at clear channels and in household magazines such as 8 Days and I-Weekly. The current marketing strategy that Mr Muscle uses the mascot for Mr Muscle, to portray him in a light of a superhero, appearing in front of housewives in need, and aiding them in cleaning up the mess in the kitchen, therefore saving the day.
